Holland Conducts First Airdrop of Aid Supplies Over Gaza

In collaboration with Jordan, Holland has executed its inaugural airdrop of humanitarian aid over Gaza. The aid includes medical assistance and food supplies. The drop was targeted near the Jordanian military hospital, aimed at replenishing stocks and alleviating the deteriorating situation at the hospital, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A C-130 transport aircraft was deployed for the operation.
The military aircraft departed from an airfield in Jordan, with the operation coordinated with Israel. According to Al Jazeera, parachutes equipped with GPS systems were utilized for precise landing. The operation incurred an estimated cost of €1 million, funded from the budget allocated for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Jordan had previously conducted similar operations, last month in collaboration with France. According to the French Press Agency, this marks the first instance since the Hamas attacks on October 7th that Western countries have provided assistance in this manner.
